Grade Extra "A" is used for siding and roofing and is the superior quality of cedar shingles. It has no imperfections, either on the exposed side or on the hidden side.

Sidewall Select is a blend of Extra "A" and Clear "B". Used for walls, Sidewall Select shingles are manufactured wider for faster installation. There are no imperfections on the exposed surface (up to 6 inches).

Clear "B" shingles are used for siding and represent the basic quality for those who do not want to see imperfections on the exposed surface (up to 6 inches).

For a more rustic look, grade 2nd Clear "C" is an economical choice. The visible knots in the wood give the shingle a unique character that is perfect for siding a cottage or a secondary building.
