SBC is the French acronym for "Cedar Shingle Specialist". And we take this seriously, since our founders are 3rd and 4th generations of cedar experts, including our President, Rita Rancourt. She founded SBC in 1996, driven by her passion for cedar manufacturing and her determination to bring white cedar shingles to perfection and beyond the Canadian borders. This passion has been handed down to her sons, who has led our company to be considered the quality and service leader in our field.

From the first family-owned factory in 1928 to the founding of SBC in 1996, several members of the Belanger and Rancourt families have built SBC to where we are today.
