SBC mulch is the green option!

An intelligent use of mulch keeps the environment safe because it reuses the forest by-products. Mulches:

  • Reduce the use of herbicides or insecticides
  • Contribute to the soil’s water conservation
  • Reduce watering
  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
  • Send organic matter back to the soil where it comes from
  • Are a friendly alternative to wasted forest resources

Moreover, the horticultural industry is one of the most environmentally sound recycling industry. (Only 6% of forest by-products are recycled as mulch. The majority is used as fuel source.)

Finally, SBC uses iron oxide pigments because it is widely found in nature and has been used as pigments for centuries. According to our supplier, they are not endangering the environment or human beings.
